The short answer
Fleet graphics and wrap covers partial and full vinyl wraps, cut lettering, spot graphics, and removal on commercial vans, trucks, and bodies. Work runs $1,500 to $9,500, or 10 to 45 hours at $210 per hour plus materials. All application is done in shop at our Yorba Linda facility.

What this work actually involves
Fleet graphics fail in Southern California faster than anywhere the material was tested. A van parked outside all day in Riverside or Ontario sees surface temperatures that cook the plasticizers out of cheap film, and the result is a wrap that shrinks back from the edges, cracks at the recesses, and chalks out on the sun side while the shaded side still looks new. The fix is material selection at the front of the job. Cast film such as 3M IJ180 or Avery MPI 1105 with a matched overlaminate is what survives a real service life here. Calendered film is cheaper and it will look tired within two summers.
Application is where fleet work differs from a one-off show car. Commercial vans and bodies are full of rivets, corrugations, recessed door channels, and hardware, and film has to be heated and worked down into every one of those features rather than bridged across them. A bridged rivet line looks fine on delivery day and tents within a month once the van heat-cycles. On corrugated box bodies we plan panel breaks around the profile so the design still reads correctly when it is applied into the ribs, which is a design decision that has to happen before anything is printed.
Consistency across a fleet is the other half of the value. When ten vans get wrapped over three years, the goal is that unit ten looks like unit one, which means recording the print profile, the film, the laminate, and the exact placement dimensions from the first vehicle. We do that and keep the file. All application, removal, and finishing happens in our Yorba Linda facility with controlled temperature and clean prep. We do not wrap at your yard. In shop body, paint, structural, and equipment install only. Engine, drivetrain, and DOT inspection work are not performed.

How we do it, step by step
- 01
Vehicle survey and layout
Body profile, hardware, door breaks, rivet lines, and corrugation mapped before design is finalized, so the artwork works on the actual vehicle rather than on a flat template.

Material specification
Cast film and matched overlaminate selected for the exposure this fleet actually sees. Calendered film is quoted only when the vehicle has a short planned service life.

Surface preparation
Vehicle washed, decontaminated, and wiped down, with any wax or silicone removed. Film does not bond through contamination, and prep failures show up as lifting edges.

Removal of existing graphics
Old wrap and decals removed with controlled heat and all adhesive residue cleaned off. New film over old adhesive telegraphs the previous design through the new one.

Application
Panels applied in a controlled temperature environment, worked into rivets, recesses, and corrugation with heat, and post-heated to set the film so it does not pull back.

Trim, seal, and detail
Edges trimmed and tucked into door jambs and panel breaks, hardware reinstalled, and every edge that will face a pressure washer given particular attention, since that is where failure starts.

Documentation for the fleet standard
Film, laminate, print profile, and exact placement dimensions recorded and filed, so the next unit in the fleet is built identically without anyone re-measuring or guessing at placement.

What does a fleet vehicle wrap cost?
Work runs $1,500 to $9,500, or 10 to 45 hours at $210 per hour plus materials. Cut lettering and a logo on a cargo van sits at the low end. A full wrap on a 26-foot box body with corrugated panel work, old graphics removal, and design adaptation sits at the high end. Deposits are 50 percent at authorization over $2,000, with an additional 25 percent when materials arrive on jobs over $10,000.
How long is the vehicle out of service?
Cut lettering is typically a same-day or next-day job. A partial wrap runs two to three working days. A full wrap on a van is three to five days, and a full box body wrap runs five to eight days. Removal of old graphics adds one to two days on its own. Prep and post-heat are on the critical path and compressing them is what causes edges to lift later.
Which vinyl do you use, and how long will it last here?
We specify cast film with a matched overlaminate, typically 3M IJ180 or Avery MPI 1105 class material. In Southern California exposure, a properly applied cast wrap with laminate holds up well across a normal fleet service life, with the sun-facing side aging first. Calendered film costs less and visibly deteriorates far sooner in this climate, so we only quote it for short-life vehicles.
Can you wrap our vehicles at our yard between routes?
No. All application is done in shop at our Yorba Linda facility. Vinyl needs a clean, temperature-controlled environment and a properly decontaminated surface, and a yard cannot provide either. Dust in the adhesive line and application outside the correct temperature range are the two fastest ways to ruin a wrap. Send units on a rotation and we will keep your board full.
One of our wrapped vans was in a collision. Do we rewrap the whole thing?
Usually not. If we recorded the print profile and placement from the original build, we can reprint the affected panel section and reapply just that area after the body repair and refinish. On a large box body that commonly saves several thousand dollars over rewrapping a full side. If the wrap is several years old, we will tell you honestly whether the new panel will match.
