About OCRV Empire
The short answer
OCRV Empire is a specialty collision and body shop for RVs, vans, trailers and fleet vehicles at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda, California. All work is performed in shop. We handle laminated structure, fiberglass, aluminum, paint, roofs, slides and insurance claims on all years and all makes.
01
What This Shop Is
OCRV Empire is a body and collision shop built specifically around vehicles that general auto body shops are not set up to work on. Motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, cargo and passenger vans, box trucks, utility trailers, bus conversions, and commercial fleet units. The common thread is construction. These vehicles are built from laminated sandwich panel, molded fiberglass, riveted aluminum, and welded steel cage, and each of those materials fails in a way that has nothing to do with how a unibody sedan fails.
We are licensed by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair under ARD00288521 and registered with the EPA under CAL000367879. We are located at 23281 La Palma Ave in Yorba Linda, California, and we are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The phone number is (714) 630-3766 and the email is info@ocrvcenter.com.

The Work Itself
The core of the business is collision and structural repair. Frame rails, cage correction, laminated sidewall rebuild, fiberglass cap repair and replacement, aluminum skin and riveted shell panel work, and the paint and refinish work that has to follow all of it. Around that core sits everything that shares the same skills: roof membrane and reseal work, slide room mechanism and seal repair, awning work, water damage and subfloor replacement, glass and window resealing, structural welding and fabrication, and ADAS scan and recalibration on equipped chassis.
A large share of the work arrives as an insurance claim, and that changes how the job is run. Teardown before scope, photographed supplements, direct communication with the adjuster, and written authorization before anything structural is cut. We work direct with Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, AAA SoCal, AAA Enterprises, Mercury, Allstate, American Family, Wawanesa, National General, CSAA, Foremost, Liberty Mutual, Tesla, Cincinnati, and AGWS, among others.
We take all years, all makes, and all classes, from Class A diesel pushers down to enclosed cargo trailers. There is currently a 1959 Flxible VL-100 in the shop being restored alongside current-year Sprinters and Rivians. Vintage fabrication is a normal part of the week here rather than an exception, because on discontinued units forming the panel is frequently the only path available.
03
How We Approach a Job
The operating principle is that you cannot price what you have not seen. On laminated and fiberglass construction the visible damage routinely understates the actual damage by a large factor, because the skin flexes and the failure happens in the bond line behind it. So the sequence is disassembly first, documentation second, pricing third, and cutting last. That order is slower at the front of a job and dramatically faster at the back, because nothing has to be redone.
The second principle is that structure comes before appearance. A panel hung on a cage that is out of square will look correct on delivery day and will be wrong by the first hot week in July, when the door stops latching and the seam opens. We correct and verify the structure, then we do the cosmetic work, and then the unit gets water tested before anyone calls it done.

In Shop Only
All work is performed at our Yorba Linda facility. We do not offer mobile, field, or fleet route service, and we do not dispatch technicians. This is a deliberate choice rather than a limitation. Structural work requires controlled conditions, measurement equipment, spray facilities, and cure schedules that do not exist in a parking lot, and a laminated wall rebuilt in a driveway is a repair that will need to be done again.
Customers travel here from Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura counties. That is a long drive for a body shop and people do it because the alternative is a shop that will make the outside look right and leave the structure as found. If you are calling from outside the region, plan the logistics before the vehicle is disassembled, because a coach that is apart is a coach that cannot be moved.

How Pricing Works Here
Posted labor is $210 per hour for body and paint, $260 per hour for mechanical and electrical, $285 per hour for diagnostics, and $95 per hour for detail. Paint supplies bill at $55 per paint hour, body supplies at $5 per body hour, and hazardous material handling is a $45 flat charge. Sales tax of 7.75 percent applies to parts and materials, and labor is not taxed. Parts carry 100 percent markup under $100 and 35 percent over $100.
Estimates are paid and refundable. The collision estimate fee applies as a credit against an authorized repair and the current amount is quoted by phone. An RV systems estimate is $150 and a diagnostic is $285 for a one hour minimum, both refundable against authorized work. Deposits are 50 percent at authorization on anything over $2,000, an additional 25 percent when parts arrive on jobs over $10,000, and the balance at pickup. Special order parts require a 100 percent non-refundable deposit because they cannot be returned. Card payments over $1,000 carry a 3.5 percent surcharge.
Insurance-billed jobs may be billed at carrier-negotiated labor rates that differ from these posted retail rates. We will tell you which applies to your claim before work begins, and anything outside the covered scope appears as a separate line rather than folded into a total. Any estimate fee already paid is credited against the authorized repair, and that credit shows on the invoice rather than being quietly absorbed into the total.
06
Who Ends Up Here
Four groups, roughly. Owners with an insurance claim on a coach or trailer, who usually arrive after a general body shop or a dealership told them it would be months or told them it was cosmetic. Full-time and long-term owners with water damage, delamination, or a failing roof, who need the source found rather than the symptom covered. Fleet and commercial operators with vans, box trucks, and configured work vehicles where downtime is the real cost. And restoration owners with vintage units where parts do not exist and the panel has to be made.
What all four have in common is that the vehicle is not a commodity. There is no equivalent unit to swap into while this one is apart, the parts may be discontinued, and the repair has to actually hold. That shapes everything about how the shop runs, from why we document so heavily to why we will not price a structural job from a photograph.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What kinds of vehicles do you work on?
All years, all makes, all classes. Class A gas and diesel motorhomes, Class B and Class C, fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers, truck campers, pop-ups, cargo and utility trailers, Sprinter and Transit builds, box trucks, bus conversions, vintage coaches, and commercial fleet vehicles. If it is built from laminated panel, fiberglass, aluminum skin, or welded structure, it is in scope.
Where are you located and what are your hours?
We are at 23281 La Palma Ave, Yorba Linda, CA 92887. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Closed Sunday. Phone is (714) 630-3766 and email is info@ocrvcenter.com. All work is performed at this location. We are on La Palma Avenue in northeast Orange County, with room to bring a full-length coach in without a difficult approach.
Do you come to me?
No. All work is performed at our Yorba Linda facility, and we do not offer mobile, field, or fleet route service. Structural repair needs measurement equipment, controlled spray conditions, and cure schedules that do not exist outside a shop. A laminated wall rebuilt in a driveway is work that has to be done a second time. We would rather decline a job than perform it somewhere it will not hold.
Are you licensed?
Yes. We are licensed by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair under ARD00288521 and registered with the EPA under CAL000367879. Both numbers are published here so they can be verified independently rather than taken on faith. Structural welding and correction are performed in shop by certified technicians and are not subcontracted. Steel and aluminum are welded to separate procedures rather than treated as interchangeable materials.
Do you charge for estimates?
Yes, and they are refundable as a credit against an authorized repair. A collision estimate fee applies and the current amount is quoted by phone. An RV systems estimate is $150 and a diagnostic is $285 with a one hour minimum. We charge because a real estimate on laminated construction requires access and time, not a walk around the lot.
How far do customers travel to get here?
Regularly from Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Ventura counties. Specialty structural capability is not evenly distributed across Southern California, so people drive past a lot of general body shops to get work done that will hold. Plan the logistics before disassembly, because a vehicle that is apart cannot be moved. A plan made in week one is considerably cheaper than one made in week three.
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes, direct with Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, AAA SoCal, AAA Enterprises, Mercury, Allstate, American Family, Wawanesa, National General, CSAA, Foremost, Liberty Mutual, Tesla, Cincinnati, AGWS, and others. We write and submit photographed supplements and handle the technical back and forth with the adjuster so you are not translating between two trades. Insurance-billed work may run at carrier-negotiated rates, and we tell you which applies before starting.
