Mobile Medical Clinics Repair
The short answer
Mobile medical clinics carry exam rooms, imaging or dental equipment, patient access lifts, and climate control that cannot fail while patients are aboard. Lift mounting fatigue, leveling and jack stress, HVAC and roof penetration leaks, and interior finish damage are the work. We repair structure, systems, and interiors.

What we see on mobile medical clinics
A mobile clinic has a requirement no other vehicle in this category has, which is that it must maintain a controlled interior environment with people inside it while parked in a lot in July. That drives the whole build. Roof air conditioning, insulation, sealed penetrations, and a power system that can carry the load either from shore power or a generator. When any part of that fails at a clinic site in Riverside or the eastern basin in summer, the day ends. So the maintenance priority on these is not cosmetic, it is the envelope and the power system, and that is where we focus a body inspection.
The patient access equipment is the structural half. A lift or a ramp is mounted to a floor and a door frame on a vehicle that has been cut and rebuilt by a converter, and it carries a cantilevered load several feet outboard on every cycle. Add leveling jacks, which put point loads into the frame at four corners every time the unit is set up at a site, and you have a body that gets loaded in ways the chassis manufacturer never contemplated. We inspect lift mounting, jack pads and their frame attachment, and the floor structure around both on every clinic that comes through.
Interior condition matters commercially in a way it does not on a work truck. Patients are in this vehicle, and a clinic with damaged cabinetry, a stained ceiling from a roof leak, or worn flooring reads as a lower standard of care whether or not that is fair. We repair interior paneling, cabinetry, flooring, and the sealed joints that cleaning chemistry attacks. Body labor is $210 per hour, electrical is $260 per hour. We do not service medical equipment, engines, or drivetrains and we do not perform DOT inspection work.

What actually fails, and why
Patient lift mounting fatigue
A cantilevered load several feet outboard of its mounting, cycled at every patient. Fasteners elongate, floor structure deflects, and the lift stops sitting square to the door, which presents as a platform binding at the threshold.
Leveling jack pad and frame attachment stress
Jacks put concentrated point loads into the frame at four corners on every setup, often on uneven lot surfaces. Mounting welds crack, pads deform, and a jack that is no longer square loads the frame at an angle it was not designed for.
Roof penetration and air conditioning leaks
Multiple penetrations on a flexing roof, sealed with material that hardens under inland heat cycling. Water enters and travels along the roof structure before staining a ceiling panel, and it lands on equipment or in a clinical space.
Interior cabinetry and sealed joint failure
Clinical cleaning chemistry attacks laminate edges and the sealant at floor-to-wall joints. Once that joint opens, fluid reaches the substrate and cabinet bases swell and delaminate from the bottom where nobody looks.
Entry door and threshold wear
The patient entry is used repeatedly at every site by people who may be unsteady. Threshold structure, step treads, and handrail mounting all take that load, and a loose handrail on a medical vehicle is a genuine liability.
Shore power inlet and cable entry damage
Inlets are connected and disconnected at every site, frequently in poor light and bad conditions. Housings crack, the seal behind the inlet opens, and moisture reaches an electrical compartment on a vehicle that cannot afford a power fault.

How long is the clinic out of service?

Since clinic days are scheduled against community calendars months out, tell us your booked dates at intake and we will build the schedule backward from them.
Our air conditioning cannot keep up in summer. Is that a body issue?
Frequently it is partly a body issue. Failed or compressed insulation, opened penetration seals, and door seals that have taken a set all add load the unit was never sized for. Before replacing capacity, it is worth checking the envelope, because a clinic that leaks conditioned air will overwhelm any unit you put on the roof.
Do you service medical equipment or the lift mechanism?
No. Medical equipment, lift mechanism and hydraulic service, engine, drivetrain, and DOT inspection work are outside our scope. We handle the body, structure, lift and jack mounting, roof and penetrations, insulation, interior paneling and cabinetry, electrical and shore power, and air conditioning, all in-shop at Yorba Linda. Findings that belong to your lift service provider are documented with photographs rather than left for the next inspection.
Can you repair the interior so it presents well to patients?
Yes, and it is worth treating as part of the service rather than as cosmetics. We rebuild cabinetry, paneling, flooring, and the sealed joints that cleaning chemistry destroys, and we address the source of any ceiling staining rather than replacing the panel and leaving the leak that caused it. Finish work is scheduled with the structural repair so the clinic loses one block of days rather than two.
