A recreational vehicle is not built like a car and it does not fail like one. A laminated sidewall is a bonded sandwich, a trailer frame carries load it was marginally specified for, and a slide-out is a large moving hole in the side of a structure that also has to stay watertight. Understanding those three facts explains most of what goes wrong on an RV. These articles walk the failures in the order we actually see them.
